Career
Ristovski began his career for his hometown club FK Vardar before he signed a 5 year deal with Italian club Parma in January 2010 when he was only 17 but the deal could not become official until he turned 18. Ristovski joined Serie B club Crotone on loan from Parma on 6 July 2011. After not receiving much playing time, the loan was cancelled in the 2012 winter transfer window before Ristovski was then loaned to Frosinone to close the 2011/12 season.
On 5 July 2012, Stefan was again sent on loan by Parma, this time to Serie B side Bari.
In January 2015 he was signed by United States. Latina Calcio in a temporary deal. Before the bankruptcy of Parma, Ristovski was under contract with Parma until 30 June 2019.
On 7 July 2015 Ristovski was signed by Spezia Calcio on a free transfer. He was immediately loaned to HNK Rijeka in the Croatian First Football League until the end of the season.
Ristovski made his début with the Macedonian national team on 10 August 2011 in an away friendly against Azerbaijan.
