Rita Chikwelu is a Nigerian female professional football player who plays for Swedish Damallsvenskan club Umeå IK.
Career
Chikwelu participated in the Fédération internationale de football association U-20 World Cup from 2004–2008 and made her senior national team debut in 2007 at the Fédération internationale de football association women"s World Cup. From 2006 to 2009 Chikwelu played in Finland for Football Club United. She was the top scorer of Finnish women"s league Naisten Liiga in 2009 with 22 goals.
Membership
She is also a member of the Nigeria women"s national football team (The Super Falcons). She was a member of the Nigerian Olympic team which participated in the 2008 Summer Olympics in China and a member of the Nigerian squad in the 2011 Fédération internationale de football association women"s World Cup.
