Career
In the 2014-2015 season he was the eighth highest scorer in all European leagues with 27 goals and 12th on a rank for a golden boot. Berić started his career in Krško youth teams and then moved to their main squad before signing for Interblock. He made his debut at Interblock as a substitute in a 2–1 away victory over Drava Ptuj.
In total, he has played 34 games for Interblock in the Slovenian first division, where he scored 12 goals.
In August 2010 he moved to Maribor together with his teammate Josip Iličić, where he signed a four-year contract with the club In June 2013 he moved to Sturm Graz in Austria.
In 2014 he moved to Rapid Wien. In his first season he became the league second goalscorer netting 27 goals in 33 appearances.
On 31 August 2015, Berić joined Saint-Étienne on four-year deal reportedly worth around €7 million.
He quickly established himself in the starting lineup and began scoring goals for the club in both the Ligue 1 and the Union of European Football Associations Europa League campaigns. However, on 8 November during an away match against Lyon, Berić suffered a knee injury which sidelined him for the rest of the season.
