He currently races a Kalex Moto2 in the FIM CEV Moto2 European Championship. In 2016, Gardner initially move up to Moto2 class with AGP Racing aboard Suter alongside Federico Fuligni, but the team withdraw from the championship due financial troubles. Later, Gardner decide to competing in 2016 FIM CEV European Moto2 Championship.
