The award was based on Baidu"s estimation of his popularity through Internet searches, mentions, and votes. Luhan finished filming his first acting role in the Chinese film "20 Once Again," which was released in January 2015.

Luhan was featured as in the 5 Faces of China Pt.5 on Models.com and Forbes China ranked Luhan at number 37 respectively in terms of earnings in China in 2014. On October 14, 2015, he released the song "Medals" as album single, Reloaded and for the soundtrack of the film The Witness.
