Ann Chamberlin is an American writer of historical novels.
Background
Ann Chamberlin was born on March 28, 1954 in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States, in the family of R. Eliot and F. Elizabeth (Maud) Chamberlin. Chamberlin began writing stories as a child. Ann Chamberlin also spent big blocks of time as a child in Europe where her father was visiting professor of mathematics.
Education
After going from school to school and major to major including theatre, history and English, she finally majored in Archaeology of the Middle East at the University of Utah in 1978. She also attended Brigham Young University, and the Universities of Virginia and Tel Aviv.
Career
Ann's interest in Islamic culture began when she worked on an archeology dig in Israel where she helped work on an ancient Ottoman settlement. After that she devoted her career fully to writing.
