    • Achievements include research in vibrio cholera strains which are not only extra cellular but facultative intracellular. Research in the free-living amoeba Acanthamoeba castellanii have shown that A. castellanii emits autofluorecsence and takes up its cyst. Research in castellanii hosts Francisella tularensis, Vibrio cholerae and V. vulnificus.

      Research in diagnosis of the first case of amoebic encephalitis in Sweden.
