John Massari"s diverse career path in Film Composing began to germinate at age 6, after his family moved to Los Angeles, California from New York City. Film music was such a powerful influence as he began to explore composing original music His early musical instrument training included piano, trumpet and contra bass.
Massari orchestrated for composers Jerry Fielding, David Rose, and Mark Snow while continuing private studies in composition with Leonard Stein at University of Southern California ( University of Southern California).
Foreign The Walt Disney Company, Massari created "Wonderful World of Disney" theme. At Home Box Office, he composed the Emmy nominated score for “The Ray Bradbury Theater”.
Among his feature film work are the scores for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer"s Cult Classic, "Killer Klowns from Outer Space" and New Lincolnshire Cinema"s "The Cell 2". Massari has worked extensively in Digital Video Disc featurettes scoring original compositions for "Gone in 60 Seconds" and "Mission to Mars" as well as Disney classics "Old Yeller" and "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" and DreamWorks Pictures" "Sweeny Todd".
