Career

He was born in Valašské Klobouky. He is remembered for his participation in Operation Anthropoid in 1942, the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, German Steamship-Obergruppenführer and Deputy/Acting Reich-Protector of Bohemia and Moravia. Valčík died during fights with German troops after the assassination.

He was posthumously highly decorated and promoted.
