Career

Roberts began his career play for non-league sides Wakefield, Worksop Town and Buxton. He moved to Conference Premier side Halifax Town in July 2013. Roberts spent two seasons with the Shaymen before signing with League One club Barnsley in May 2015.

He made his Football League debut on 8 August 2015 in a 3–1 defeat against Chesterfield.
