He studied acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts and has been, since 1999, a member of the renowned Berlin theatre company Schaubühne, where he played the lead roles in plays such as William Shakespeare"s Macbeth and Tennessee Williams" Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
Since 2005, he has also appeared in acclaimed television series and films, notably Buddenbrooks (2008), and Habermann (2010).
