He joined the cast of the Fox television series Glee in the fourth season as Jake Puckerman, half-brother of regular character Noah "Puck" Puckerman. Currently, he is starring in the role of Brandon Fletcher in the American Broadcasting Company drama Quantico. His father is African American.
His mother is of Polish descent.
He has a younger sister named Jenna. Artist danced with the Infinity Dance Project for several years during high school, and participated in Chautauqua Institution"s summer dance school, and in the David DeMarie dance studio in Clarence, we New York
He added voice lessons through the Community Music School in Buffalo. He graduated from Williamsville South High School a semester early, and was accepted into Juilliard for dance.
However, he turned Julliard down to pursue his acting career.
After graduation from Williamsville South at the age of 17 in 2010, Artist moved to Los Angeles, where he appeared in the television movie Blue Lagoon: The Awakening and later Bucket & Skinner"s Epic Adventures in 2011. He auditioned for Glee in mid-July and was cast in 2012. At the shows conclusion in 2015, he had been featured in 22 episodes.
In 2015, the actor joined the television series Quantico playing the role of Brandon Fletcher, a Federal Bureau of Investigation recruit at the training academy.
