Career
In 1998, Belkaïd joined from JS Bordj Ménaïel. In 2003, Belkaïd went on trial with French club AJ Auxerre but was not signed by manager Guy Roux. Belkaïd received his first call-up to the Algerian National Team on December 8, 2000 for a friendly against Romania in Annaba, Algeria.
He played the entire game, with the score ending 3-2 in favour of the visitors.
