A 6 feet 4 tall (192 m) forward, he spent his career playing for Spartak Brno. He reached two Euroleague finals in 1964 and 1968, averaging 26.6 points. He represented Czechoslovakia for a decade in international competitions.

1980-1981 assistant coach of Czechoslovakia national basketball team at the 1980 Summer Olympics (9th place) and Eurobasket 1981 (3rd place).
