Chih-lu Liu was a Chinese army officer.
He was born in Meihsien, Kwangtung, China in 1890.
Chih-lu Liu graduated from the Canton Military Academy.
Mr. Liu was commissioned as a staff officer in the Kwangtung Army and was soon promoted to the rank of a general. He was a defense commissioner of Swatow, Kwangtung and in this capacity, he constructed modern highways, water systems and many other kinds of public utilities at Swatow. He also participated in the various compaigns of the Northern Punitive Expeditions and fought in Shantung during the Tsinan Incident in 1928.
He was also engaged in business in Shanghai.
