Born in south London, he attended Greenshaw Independent School.
1999–2003: with South Club 7
The group rose to fame by starring in their own British Broadcasting Corporation television series, Miami 7, in 1999 and have been widely referred to as inspiring a new generation of teenage television musicals including High School Musical and Glee. Over the five years they were together, South Club 7 had four United Kingdom Number.1 singles, one United Kingdom Number.1 album, a string of hits throughout Europe, including a top-ten single in the United States, Asia, Latin America, and Africa. They recorded a total of four studio albums, released eleven singles and went on to sell over fourteen million albums worldwide.
Their first album, South Club, had a strong 1990s popular sound, similar to many artists of their time.
Through the course of their career, their musical approach changed to a more dance and Rhythm & Blues sound, which is heard mostly in their final album, Seeing Double. In 2001, the group earned the Record of the Year award.
Group member Paul Cattermole departed from the group in 2002, and the group changed its name from South Club 7 to simply South Club. On 21 April 2003, during a live on-stage performance, South Club announced that they were to disband.
2004-2007: with Upper Street
In 2006 McIntosh starred in an Music Television"s show, called Totally Boyband.
He became part of a boyband, Upper Street made up of ex-group members. The groups that each member was from were 911, Steps, Another Level and New Kids on the Block. They released their first (and only) single, "The One", in 2006, but it was not a commercial success and charted at #35 in the United Kingdom Singles Chart.
Also in 2006 he took part in Celebrity Sport Relief Boxing against Jack Osbourne.
2008–present: Return to South Club 7
Since November 2008, McIntosh has been performing in various nightclubs, universities and Butlins holiday camps around the United Kingdom along with fellow South Club members Jo O"Meara and Paul Cattermole. He also has written for and produced songs as nickname City Boy Soul to various artists, such as JLS, Gak Jonze and Mutya Buena.
He was a member of the popular group South Club where he enjoyed five years of hit singles, arena tours and awards. Other people starring were members of disbanded groups.
