Quaner began his career with Fortuna Düsseldorf where he passed through all the youth teams. In the 2009-2010 season, he was placed into the U19-Bundesliga side. On 22 May 2010, he debuted with the second team in a Regionalliga match against the second team of Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
Prior to the start of the 2010-2011 season, Quaner transferred to Arminia Bielefeld.
On 13 August 2010, he debuted for his new club in a DFB-Pokal match against Jahn Regensburg. One week later, he played his first 2.
