He won two of the three British Formula 3 Championships in 1973, sharing one (the Lombard North Central championship) with Richard Robarts. Brise made his Grand Prix debut on 27 April 1975 for Williams but after one race switched to Embassy Hill run by former world champion driver Graham Hill, where he showed great potential.
Later in 1975, Hill, Brise and four other members of the team were killed when the Embassy Hill plane, piloted by Hill, crashed at Arkley golf course in thick fog.
