Career
He is remembered most for his time at Grasshopper Club Zürich and Football Club Basel. Esposito started playing professional football in 1992 with Air Corps Lugano. In 1996, he signed for Grasshopper Club Zürich and had loan spells at Spain"s Civil Defense Extremadura in 1999 and Italy"s Cagliari Calcio in 2001.
Later that year, he moved to AS Saint-Étienne of France but returned to Switzerland with Football Club Basel in 2002 and was part of the Basel team that reached the Second Group Phase of the Union of European Football Associations Champions League.
Associate of Science Varese 1910 acquired his services in 2004 before he retired with Air Corps Lugano in 2005.
