Wedemeyer Reports, first published in 1958, is the comprehensive account of little-known American army general Albert C. Wedemeyer of his activities during World War Two and shortly thereafter. Wedemeyer, a top-tier 'insider,' had major responsibilities during the War for developing Allied strategies and invasion plans for Europe, and then, when transferred to China, in working to support the struggling Nationalists under Chang Kai-shek in their battle against the Communists. Of special interest is how history could have perhaps been changed by a more determined American effort to prevent the loss of mainland Chinese to the Communists; the Korean and Vietnam conflicts may have been avoided altogether if America had followed more of the recommendations of General Wedemeyer. This new kindle edition includes 16 pages of illustrations.
