Robert Bly

Robert Bly, American poet. Recipient award National Institute Arts and Letters, National Book award in poetry, 1968; Fulbright grantee, 1956-1957; Amy Lowell fellow, 1964-1965; Guggenheim fellow, 1965-1966, 72-73; Rockefeller Foundation fellow, 1967; named Minnesota Poet Laureate, 2008. Served with United States Naval Reserve, 1944-1945. Member American Academy Arts and Letters.
