Daniel Ajzenberg’s research activities are conducted in the Institute of Neuroepidemiology and Tropical Neurology, INSERM UMR_S 1094, and are focused on the genetic diversity of Toxoplasma gondii strains. He developed a multiplex technique for genotyping Toxoplasma gondii strains with 15 microsatellite markers that was successfully applied on more than 4,000 DNA samples from all over the world and this technique is currently used in several laboratories in USA, Brazil, Colombia, China, and South Africa.
