PAUL MARDIKIAN is co-founder, owner and Senior Conservator of Terra Mare Conservation LLC, a firm specializing in the conservation of archaeological, industrial, fine art, and architectural objects. He has an undergraduate and graduate degree in art history and archaeology from the School of the Louvre and a graduate degree in cultural heritage conservation from Sorbonne University, Paris.
Career
Paul has over 30 years of international experience in cultural heritage preservation, and extensive experience with complex conservation programs requiring a multidisciplinary approach and international collaboration. He served as program chair, co-organizer and co-editor for MWG’s triennial conference METAL 2010, and was a program committee member for METAL 2013. Paul was co-organizer of the conference on the history, technology and conservation of aluminum, held in Washington D.C. in April 2014 and is a program committee member for METAL 2016 held in New Delhi, India in September 2016.
