Has discovered various deposits of rocksalt occurring in Domes and to great depth, 3,000 feet and over, and by drilling a discovery well on Spindle-Top near Beaumont, Texas, January 10, 1901, with initial capacity of 100,000 barrels of petroleum per day, established by original work an economic precedent for the production of petroleum, sulphur and rock salt on the Coastal Plains of Louisiana, Texas and Mexico heretofore considered barren, thus establishing his Dome theory of oil concentration about salt Domes.
