    • Achievements include development of first comprehensive computer-automated modular and dedicated fixture design techniques and systems. Development of tolerance analysis method for manufacturing and assembly processes with multiple setups. Development of automated setup and fixture planning technique and system.

      Development of of fixture design analysis and verification technique. Exploration of flexible fixturing with phase-change materials. Modeling of machining chip formation/breaking and heat treatment processes.

      Modeling and simulation of induction hardening processes. Development of computerized heat treatment planning systems CHT-bf, CHT-cf and CHT-qlt.
