Background

Breisky was born on October 27, 1928 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States; the son of John Victor Breisky and Laura (Paer) Breisky.

Education

Breisky received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Journalism from Syracuse University in 1950.

Career

Breisky was a captain in the United States Army from 1950 to 1954. He began his career as a reporter of Albany Times-Union in 1950. Two years later he took a position of an associate editor of the Saturady Evening Post. Then in 1961, William was appointed an editor and publisher of Enfield Press. Also he served as a manager of Bermuda News Bureau from 1968 to 1977. In 1977, Breisky became an editor of Foster's Daily Democratic. Since 1979 he has been an editor of Cape Cod Times.
