He studied journalism at the belarusian State University.
In 1962, at the end of his study, he was appointed as an editor in the newspaper “Chyrvonaya zmena” ("Red Shift"). Since 1963 he worked at the Minsk Regional Committee of Komsomol. In 1964-1966 he worked for the newspaper “Literatura i mastatstva” ("Literature and Art"). Killed by a bandit attack.
His works were first published in 1957 (the newspaper "Red Shift"). He is the author of the collections of short stories and essays "Za aknom dozhdzh" ("Outside the Window is Rainy", 1967), "Na dosvitku" ("At Dawn", 1986).
