When he was 20, Dmitry worked as a DJ for the most popular radio station Alpha Radio Minsk, and built quite a successful career on the Belarusian television.
In 2004, Shepelev received an offer from Ukrainian music channel M1 and decided to move to Kiev. There he conducted several shows, but gained real popularity after the second season of Star Academy, Ukraine - the
project became one of the most successful in the history of the Ukrainian TV.
At the same time, the talented Belarusian broadcaster drew the attention of the Channel One, Russia. For some time Shepelev combined shooting both in Moscow and Kiev (Project Can you? Sing!), and in 2009 after successfully broadcasting the Eurovision finals in Moscow, he finally moved to the capital of Russia.
