Career
Gustavsson began to work as a model in Sweden in 2008 and then continued her career in Japan. When Frida Gustavsson was a child she was interested in sports. She was a promising track and field athlete. She used to train five times a week and won several championships in the team of the Bromma IF. But when she was 14, she broke her femur and both arms.
Frida Gustavsson was only 12 years old when a man from a model agency came up to her for the first time and asked if she wanted to try to be a model. Two years later, at the age of 14, she was again offered to be a model by model agency “Stockholmsgruppen”. Model career began with a five-week stay in Japan. Soon she debuted in the fashion show fall-winter 2009/2010 in the Valentino Paris Fashion Week (opening out).
In 2009, Frida signed a contract with IMG Models. Her model career began to grow rapidly: she took part in Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Lanvin, Carolina Herrera, Fendi, Calvin Klein, Celine, Dolce & Gabbana shows and worked for a dozen other fashion houses.
Gustavsson managed to appear on the cover of Numéro, Elle, W, national Vogue, L'Officiel and other magazines as well as to take part in advertising campaigns for Marc Jacobs, Etro, Anna Sui, Paul & Joe, Just Cavalli, H & M, Prada, etc. She worked with photographers like Juergen Teller, Peter Lindbergh, Patrick Demarchelier, Mario Testino, Annie Leibovitz, David Sims. In 2011 Gustavsson graduated from St Martins Gymnasium in Sundbyberg, Sweden. In future she wants to become a fashion stylist.
