After studying in Munich she went to Israel and worked there for 1 year on an Israeli kibbutz. Then she went back to Munich and undertook since that time a lot of different jobs. She worked once in a bureau, and had even her own Jeans shop. She started to write books when she was 39. "Bitterschokolade" is her first officially published book. It was a children's book and had almost 400 000 examples. It had a lot of success and still remains her best book. She started to write books not only for children, but for adults too. Also she was translating a lot of books of different authors like Peter van Gestel, Anton Quintana, Uri Orlev, Amos Oz or Zeruya Shalev from the Hebrew, English and Dutch languages in German ( approximately 300 titles). One of her her novels was even screened - "Novemberkatzen". At the moment she is living in Munich, works as an independent writer.
