She won her first title in September 2000 at the ITF Jaipur in India, defeating home favourite Manisha Malhotra, 6–2, 2–6, 6–3. This event was played on grass. It was here that she also won her first doubles title, partnering with Jennifer Schmidt.
Secured three ITF Futures Pro Circuit titles in 2003, two on home soil in Warrnambool and Yarrawonga.
Made her WTA main draw debut in Canberra in 2004.
Made her Grand Slam debut at the 2007 Australian Open, winning her first WTA match and subsequently breaking into the world’s top 200.
