Bartlett had been a training player with the Wildcats for the 2010-11 season and received the call-up to officially join the playing group as an injury-waiver replacement after starting the 2011-12 season also as a training player. The 26-year-old was a development player for the New Zealand Breakers from 2005-2007 and won the Slam Dunk competition at the 2005/06 NBL All-Star Game at the Sydney Entertainment Centre. In 2011, Bartlett played 3 games for the Geraldton Buccaneers in the SBL.Everard Bartlett was called up by the Perth Wildcats to fill in for injured guard Damian Martin and made his NBL debut on 5 November 2011 in a win against the Wollongong Hawks where he played 11 minutes and scored 4 points. After Damian Martin returned from injury, Bartlett signed with the Adelaide 36ers to replace the injured vice-captain Nathan Crosswell who ruptured his Achilles tendon against the Breakers in Round 10 and was ruled out for the season.Under the NBL's contract rules due to his previous injury replacement status in Perth, Bartlett had to sign a full time contract with the 36ers to be able to play. Such was his form that he was elevated to the starting line up by coach Marty Clarke for the 92-83 win over the Melbourne Tigers on 25 February 2012.On May 18, 2012, Bartlett signed a two year deal with the Perth Wildcats.
