Raageshwari loomba was born on 25 July 1977. She has had a versatile career. She has been an Indian pop singer, television anchor, former MTV VJ, actress and a model.
Background
Raageshwari was born in Mumbai to Trilok Singh Loomba, a National Award-winning musician and government servant, and his wife Veera. She has an elder brother, Rishabh who is a filmmaker. The Sanskrit word Raageshwari means 'the goddess of Ragas' and 'wife of the Lord'.
Education
Raageshwari pursued her graduation through correspondence because she started working at the age of 14. But she has very fond memories of the Auxilium School she went to.
Even doing movies when she was in 10th Ragesgwari passed class 10th with distinction marks.
Career
As a child model, she did the rounds of several advertising agencies with her father. She was spotted by director Shekhar Kapoor, who later signed her opposite Bobby Deol. She was just 13 when all these happened, however nothing happened further in this regard. She signed her first film Zid in 1994 as a child actress. She later acted in some Bollywood movies like 'Aankhen' and 'Main Khiladi Tu Aanari'.
Raageshwari Loomba later moved on to become a VJ in the popular television show which featured hindi movie songs and ranked them as per the popularity. She had also written her own scripts while working as a VJ. She had become famous by that time and her individual works had made many awards.
She later on became a musician and launched her own album. Her album named 'Duniya' became a huge success. This album was an instant hit and following this one her another album was released named "Oye Shava". This album reached platinum in just few months and this success gave her a Coco cola deal to do concerts all over India.
In the year 2000 she came up with another album with her father and brother named as Y2K Saal Do Hazaar. After the release of this video album she had performed many live shows all over the world.
Unfortunately she was diagnosed with bell's palsy (which is a facial paralysis). This left her paralyzed on the left side of her face and even affected her voice. She however did not lose hope but with the help of electrical stimulation, physiotherapy, and yoga she regained her health and looks and was back with a album in 2006 named Sagari Rayn. This album gave her world wide popularity and it was the first Indian album to be released in theater all over the world.
