David Efergan, CEO and President provides the strategic vision that is driving Amadesa into a premiere position in eCommerce optimization. David is actively involved with all aspects of Amadesa’s business, from the advancement of the mission, to product development and sales.
David holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois. David is a member of Amadesa’s Board of Directors.
Background
David Efergan came to the United States from Israel and completed his bachelor's degree in chemical engineering at the University of Illinois.
David began his professional career at Accenture and then spent the next 10 years working for leading e-commerce companies before assuming the leadership role at Amadesa and building the company into an industry leader in website optimization.
Career
David’s hands-on experience has provided him with an extensive knowledge of the e-commerce industry. Before joining Amadesa, David was the Vice-President of Operations at Digital River, overseeing global payments and operation in Asia, Europe, and the United States. He was involved in building the operational entities in Brazil, Ireland, Korea and Japan, generating $45 million in new revenues and reducing costs by $5 million over 12 months. David was retained by Digital River to manage the transition and integration when they acquired Orbit Commerce, where he had been Vice President of Engineering. At Orbit, David was responsible for managing the development of the technology platform for delivering Internet services to small businesses. As a member of Orbit’s strategic management team, David defined the business direction, initiatives, and delivery systems for the business. Previously, David was the Senior Director of Technology with drinks.com, where he worked with a broad team of developers to build their eCommerce website. He also spent several years in Accenture’s World Wide Technology Integration Services group, where he focused on advanced internet technology research and development. Some of the projects David was involved with were the development of a global supply chain solution for Compaq’s Service Network and its partners, MetLife imaging System, iBelieve.com and others.
