The writer has two university degrees — in physics and in finance.
After graduating he worked as a journalist in a regional newspaper "Nashe Vremya" ("Our Times"). Then became a member of the Union of Journalists of Russia (in 1995). Wrote some stories for the newspaper "Uralsky Sledopyt" ("The Tracker of Ural"). His first major literary work "Nothing But Magic" is a fantasy novel, as well as its sequel "We'll Do Without Magic". A few books of his are written in collaboration with Andrey Egorov and Darya Bulatnikova.
