Since 1982 he has been a member of Employer Support of the National Guard Reserve in Washington and a Park County Emergency Medical Association in Livingston, from 1983 to 1990. From 1983 to 1990 he was an instructor of Cardiopulmonary resuscitation in Livingston. From 1986 to 1987 he was a president of Park County Rural Fire District in Livingston. From 1990 to 1992 he was a member of Chester Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance.
