      Severed this connection and returned to general practice at Jacksonville. At 27 and 29 was elected and re-elected Company Judge. Served as Mayor of Jacksonville, several terms.

      Chairman of School Board, several terms. Company Chairman and Member, State communications of Democrat Party. Elected to 66 Congress, re-elected to 67-71 Congresses.
