Principal entomologist United States bureau of Entomology and Plant Quarantine, 1933-1943, retired Associate editor Journal of Economic Entomology, 1908-1910, business manager, 1910-1924, 1931-1932. Published 5 annual reports and 9 bulletins on nursery and orchard inspection, numerous bulletins issued by United States bureau of Entomology and many scientific articles on entomological subjects.
