Kbodzhi AKHMEDOV

Kbodzhi AKHMEDOV, USSR Singer (tenor). Soloist, Tadzhikistan Theater of Opera and Ballet; Honoured Artist of Tadzhikistan Soviet Socialist Republic since 1941. Order of Red Banner of Labor, 1957.

Education

  • Studied at two-year studio, Uzbek Music Theater. After the war studied in national deputy., Moscow Conservatory.

Career

  • Since 1937 soloist, Stalinabad Music Theater. 1941 and 1957 participated in two Festivals of Tadzhikistan Art. Moscow; has appeared in concerts on television and radio.

    Main roles in opera: “Vosstanie Vose” (The Vose Uprising). “Kuznets Kova” (Blacksmith Kova). “Lola”; Faust in Gounod’s “Faust”.

    Don Jose in Bizet’s “Carmen”. Rhadames in Verdi’s “Aida”. Audrey in Tchaikovsky’s “Mazeppa”, etc.
