Career

  • 1933-1936 in Communist Youth League opera. 1936-1940 soloist, USSR Bolshoy Theater. 1941-1942 soloist, Kharkov Theater of Opera and Ballet.

    Best roles: Andrey in Gulak-Artcmovsky’s “Zaporozhets za Dunaem” (A Dnieper Cossack Beyond the Danube). Levko in Lysenko’s “Utoplena” (The Drowned Girl). Tyulepin in Meytus’ “Molodaya gvardiya” (Young Guard).

    Lensky in Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin”. Jontek in Moniuszko’s “Halka”.
