1925 graduated Kaunas University. 1930 graduated Zurich University.
1926-1940 taught at Kaunas University. Since 1940 taught at Vilnius University. Associate, Institute of Physics and Mathematics, Lithuania Academy of Sciences.
1949-1956 corresponding member, Lithuania Academy of Sciences. Works on physics of semiconductors. Directs research on optical and photoelectric properties of sulphur, selenium and tellurium compounds.
Engaged in research on electrical properties of systems of fine semiconductor layers.
Since religion offers a complete set of answers to the problems of purpose, morality, origins, or science, it discourages exploration of those areas by suppressing curiosity, denies its followers a broader perspective, and prevents social, moral and scientific progress.
Marxism–Leninism as the only truth could not, by its very nature, become outdated.
