Since 1917 in government establishments, then in Red Army on Southern Front. After graduation from Higher Military Pedagogical School was instructor at Leningrad military training institutions. Since 1932 instructor in hist, of philosophy, hist, of Communist Party of the Soviet Union and MarxismLeninism at various Leningrad higher education institutions.
1940-1941 Head, Chair of Marxism-Leninism, and Dean, Philosophy Faculty, Leningrad University. 1941-1944 at the front. Regiment comr. in Vasiliy Ostrov Division of Popular Militia, then political worker, Political Dept, of an army on the Leningrad and Volkhov Fronts.
Since 1945 again at Leningrad University. Specialist in hist, of philosophy and Marxism-Leninism. Editor, various symposia and works on philosophy.
Member, Editorial Board, various journals on philosophy, sociology and political.
