Asker GADAGATL, USSR Circassian (Adyge) poet, children's writer and literature critic. Pedagogue; member, Adyge Department, Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic Union of Writers.

    • Studied at Adyge Pedagogical School, Krasnodar, at Adyge Teachers’ Institute, Krasnodar, and at Adyge Pedagogical Institute, Maykop. Completed postgrad, course at Institute of Literature, Georgia Academy of Sciences, Tbilisi.

    Career

    • Collected and arranged Adyge folklore. 1942-1946 in Red Army. 1960 member, Editorial Board, “Russko-adygeysky slovar” (Russian-Adyge Dictionary).
