Supervised first systematic Soviet research into reinforced concrete structures. Developed general theory of calculating statically undefinable structures, taking into account plastic deformation. 1960 member, Soviet delegation at Congress of International Council on Construction, Rotterdam.
Since 1923 instructor, Moscow Institute of Transport Engineering. Since 1927 laboratory Chief, Central Research Institute of Industry Installations. 1932-1941 instructor, Moscow Military Engineering Academy.
Since 1942 instructor, Moscow Civil Engineering Institute.
