Background

  • ISAEVA, Mariam was born in 1897 in Grozny, Checheno-Ingushetia.

  • Education

    • Studied at teachers’ institutes.

    Career

    • For several years taught in Chechen school. Has translated into Chechen Krylov’s fables and several of Pushkin’s poems. 1944 deported to Central Asia with all Chechen-Ingush and KarachayBalkars.

      1957 returned to Northern Caucasus.
