    • Graduated Philological Faculty, Odessa Institute of Public Education,1925.

    Career

    • First publication, 1922. Close to V. Mayakovsky. Member of the communist futurist Left Front.

      Played an active part in poetry propaganda during Stalin’s time. During World War II, war correspondent for many newspapers and for the TASS news agency. Some of the poetry he wrote during this period was sincere.

      Found himself popular during the Khrushchev thaw.
