Petr Fedorovich KRIVONOS

Petr KRIVONOS, Director, Southwestern Railroad, since 1953; member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party Lithuania Ukrainia, since 1954. three Order of Lenin (3rd in 1959); six other orders. Member, Communist Party, since 1929.

    • 1929 finished School of Factory and Plant Apprenticeship. 1953 graduated Moscow Electromcch. Railroad Institute.

    Career

    • Initiator of Stakhanovitc movement for better use of locomotives. In 1935 the Stakhanovite movement developed and Krivonos was charged with the task of proving that more and better use could be made of locomotives. For this task, the USSR Popular Commissariat of Transport, under Kaganovich, set up especially favorable conditions and Krivonos obtained high locomotive utilization indices.

      The results were set as an example and similar achievements were demanded from engineers operating under normal conditions. Deputy, USSR Supreme Soviet of all convocation. Since 1943 Hero of Socialist Labor.

      1960 attended International Parliamentary Congress, Athens. 1929 assist, locomotive engineer and engineer, Slavyansk Locomotive Depot, Donets Railroad. 1936-1937 Director, Slavyansk Locomotive Depot.

      1937-1938 Director, Southern Donets Railroad. 1939-1941 Director, Donets Railroad. 1941-1951 Director, Donets Okrug Railroad System.
