Education

  • Late 1920's graduated Frunze Military Academy.

Career

  • 1941 while commanding an army on Western Front, directed operations in capture of Klin and Rogachev. As Commander, 4th Tank Army, took part in Right-Bank Ukrainia operations. 1944-1945 in encirclement of German forces at Brody and Lvov, forced San and Vistula at Sandomierz.

    Participated in Vistula-Oder and Berlin campaigns, and also in capture of Prague. Deputy, Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic Supreme Soviet of 1951 and 1955 convocation. Deputy, Ukrainia Supreme Soviet of 1955 convocation.

    Deputy, USSR Supreme Soviet of 1958 convocation. Delegation at 1956 and 1959 Communist Party of the Soviet Union Congresses. 1918-1920 fought in Civil War.

    In late 1920's and 1930's with Red Army in Far East. During World War II commanded one of armies on Western Front. 1943-1945 Commander, 4th Tank Army.

    1945-1947 Commander, 4th Tank Army in Saxony. 1947-1956 member, Military Council in a number of military distr. and worked on staff, Minister of Defense. 1956-1958 Commander, Transbaykal, 1958-1960 Ural Military District.

    One time Seer, and Presidium member of the Central Committee, Voluntary Society for Cooperation with the Army, Air Force and Navy.
