    • 1918 graduated Tiflis Theological Seminary. 1925 graduated Philological Faculty, Tbilisi University.

    Career

    • 1911 first work published. During 1920's joined “Blue Horns” group of Georgia symbolists, founded in 1915. Later adopted Socialist Realism.

      Since 1921 member, Main Board of Political Education and senior staff member of “Lito” Publ. House; 1922-1923 edition, newspaper “Bakhtrioni”. Since 1923 Chief Secretary, journal “Grdemli”.

      Since 1924 Editor, journal “Drosha”. 1927-1929 Chief Editor, “Ekonomist Gruzii”. 1934-1935 Deputy Editor, “Literatumoe nasledstvo” (Literary Heritage).

      1940-1948 Editor, symposium “Literaturis Matiane”. For a time Secretary, Georgia Union of Writers. 1958 delegation at Tashkent Conference of Afro-Asian Writers.

      Deputy, Georgia Supreme Soviet of 1951, 1955 and 1959 convocation.
