    • Since 1909 in Taganrog port machine shops then at Taganrog Metallurgical Plant. Dismissed from plant for taking part in strike movement and exiled from Voysko Donskoe area for two years. Later worked in Donbas and Rostov-on-Don.

      1917-1918 member, Taganrog City Committee, Russian Social-Democratic Labor Party (Bolsheviks). 1918-1919 Commissar, 1st Taganrog Regiment, then in underground work. 1919-1921 Director, Taganrog Electronic Power Plant.

      1921-1922 Director, Baltiysky Plant. 1922-1926 Head, Organization Department, Taganrog Uezd Committee, then Secretary, Taganrog Okrug Committee, Russian Communist Party (Bolsheviks). 1926-1929 Chairman, North Caucasian Kray Committee, Trade-Union of Metalworkers.

      1929-1931 Secretary, Central Committee, Trade-Union of Metalworkers, Moscow. Since 1931 Chairman, Central Committee, Trade-Union of Transport Workers. 1934-1937 member, Party Control Commission, Central Committee, All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks).

      1937-1940 Secretary, All-Union Central Trade-Union Council, and Presidium member, USSR Supreme Soviet. 1940-1946 Chief, Main Board of Labor Reserves, USSR Council of Popular Commissar 1946-1953 First Deputy Minister of Labor Reserves. 1952-1960 Chairman, Communist Party of the Soviet Union Central Auditing Commission.
